Names, photos, and schools
We never publish a minor's name, photo, or school without written permission from the student and a parent or guardian. That includes pilot council members. The pilot council page will show a name only when we have that permission on file.
Contact
Adults connected to the campaign do not contact minors privately. A message to a student goes to a group, or copies a parent or guardian. Right now the campaign is one person, the founder, and this rule applies to him.
Meetings
Campaign meetings happen in public places, like a library or a school, or on video calls with more than two people. There are no one-on-one meetings between an adult and a student.
Your stories
People sometimes send us personal stories about school, work, or home. We do nothing with them without asking you first. We won't post, quote, or forward a story unless you say yes, and if you're under 18, unless a parent or guardian says yes too.
Reporting a concern
If something about this campaign worries you, email [email protected] and put "Safety" in the subject line. The founder reads that inbox and will reply within two days.
If your concern is about the founder himself, don't write to him. Tell a parent, a teacher, or a school counselor instead.
If you think a child is in danger right now, call 911. If you think a child is being abused or neglected, call Delaware's Child Abuse and Neglect Report Line at 1-800-292-9582. It answers 24 hours a day. Delaware law requires anyone who suspects abuse or neglect to report it, and we will.
